What is the minimum rental period for your vans?

Our minimum rental period is 3 nights during Off/Low/Mid Season (7 nights Dublin) and 7 nights in July/August (10 nights Dublin)

What paperwork do I need to provide to rent a van?

You will need a current valid drivers licence held for more than 2 years and 2 proof of address documents (ideally a bank statement and utility bill) registered to the same address as your drivers licence and dated within 90 days of the start of your rental.

How much fuel do you get in the van?

We do not opperate a full tank policy at Causeway Campers. The van will be given out with a minimum of a 1/4 of a tank of fuel and is to be returned with the same amount of fuel.

How does the van work?

We will show you how everything works when you collect the van - this will take approximately 45 minutes.

What is the insurance excess?

The security deposit is £2'000 which we will Pre-Authorise to your credit or debit card when you collect the van. The pre-authorised insurance excess will be returned back to your card within 28 days.

What do you charge for one way trips between airports?

We do not charge large one-way fees. We only charge the delivery fee for each location. For example if you collected the van in Belfast and wanted to return to Dublin, the Belfast delivery charge is £100 and the Dublin collection charge is £200, therefore the total one way charge is £300. This price will be included when pricing our vans so does not need to be added on.

Is bedding included in the Van?

No we do not include bedding or towels in the vans. There is an additional charge for this of £40 for a Double Duvet or £25 for a Single Duvet. Towels are £20 per set.

Do you deliver vans?

Yes we will deliver vans to 7 delivery locations throughout Ireland with our Meet and Greet services.

Do you deliver vans to home addresses?

No, we do not offer a bespoke delivery service at present.

What time can the van be collected?

Our van cans can be collected from 3pm on the day of collection.

What is included in the rental?

The van, insurance, kitchen utensils and toilet chemical for motor homes.

What time does the van need to be returned at?

The van needs to be returned back to your agreed drop off location between 9am - 10am.

Are you allowed to take the van to festivals?

Yes we allow our vans to be taken to festivals, you will need to allow for the correct amount of time when returning the van.

Do we allow pets in our vans?

Yes, we have a selection of pet friendly vans. There is an additional charge of £10 per day to take your pet.

When is payment made?

To secure the booking you need to pay £500 or 50% of the total booking and it is whichever is greatest. The final balance is due 6 weeks before you collect the van. If the booking of the van falls within the 6 week period, then the balance is due in full.
